Merry Plaguemas

AI hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with food, family , and festive festivities ☺️.  Over in the Nelson household we eat chocolate pancakes while watching the biggest loser and going to a 24 hour Heath clinic .. Life YUP ! I got a case of the loser on Christmas Eve.

And this is what it progressed to on Christmas Day . Also had to it the sores that are In my scalp.

The staff at Affinity Health ( and I do mean staff - 4 people came to look at me) aren't really sure what's wrong with me. ( just my luck) So what do doctors do when they are unsure ? YouTube !! 

Can I YouTube myself a medical degree ? I wanna wear scrubs and give false hope to folks .

Anywho I got some blood drawn, a script, and a shot in the hip. Hopefully on Monday I'll get a call and someone can tell me I'm okay . 

Personally I think it was just the seafood I had at my miL on Sunday. Unless I've picked up some 18th century SLORE disease . ( nahhhh) but the doctor did ask if I had unprotected sex 😳 . I kind of looked at her like (ever?) or in the last 6 months . If you ever want to get the conversation awkward ask someone if they have STD and if they've been playing chubby bunny with their vagina . You are sure to get a verbal reaction or a slap to the face .

My visit to Affinity was great . 24 hours a day and the co-pay is what I would normally pay at the doctors office . Fast service too. Unless my MIL pulled some strings .(🙌🙌). AMN approved

The rest of our day went as followed JMN driving around aimlessly texting and driving burning my gas. Then over to The Wise residence to talk to moma wise stuff our faces until  Jasmine decided to come home . Then off to walgreens to get pictures & medication ( post coming soon) Then to the Jackson's for more face stuffings and cutting up with Joseph . But by 10 we made it hope with 2 Guns (redbox special) .

I left something out ! Mud riding in 20 degree weather

Kid parties

    

What do adults do when kids you know are having parties ?  Especially when you don't have a kid ?

Today I have attends 2 !!
This is Ethan he turned one last week! That's also my buddy Ej cheesing it up!

The girl in the yellow is my niece Madison her birthday was last Saturday. She just turned 11/12  Via text she has confirmed ....11 YES!!! ( cabbage patch) Is it bad that I want to dance with the kids?  I just don't think their ready for all of this jelly tho!

 

The best part about these parties are the snacks they were amazing !

Kanye West Yeezus Tour _ New York

    

As you may already be aware of I am a LOVER of music.   I have been to several concerts and by far this concert has been the 3rd best I've been to.  Who beat out the almighty Yeezus? The Fray. The Fray came to my home town about 2 years ago. They didn't have a cool set and they didn't even have openers that I knew who they were. BUT when they sung it sounded like i had just popped in their CD in my CD player. I was amazed by their vocals and their willingness to jump in the crowd with out body guards running to them for safety.

 

The 2nd best concert i went to was The Monsters Ball. At the time i loved Lady GAGA. Although after i left the concert I did not like her so much but i will say her concert did leave a lasting effect on me. Her stage concepts were AMAZING. I felt like someone was reading a story to me. Also i learned how talented Lady GAGA was musically. She is an amazing singer and without all of the theatrics i think if you sat her in the middle of the stage with just a stool and a mic you would still be blown away by her.

 

Now YEEZUS

Dont hate hate me because you specifically said in your concert that people were going to say " this is the best concert set you've ever seen for a rap artist." " instead you should say this is the best set for any artist you've seen.  TRUE & false. but the latter that i reported explains that.  through my nose bleed seats, that i purchased 3 hours before the concert for 59.99 was in my opinion the best seats in the house. I dint need to touch Kanye. Or smell the sweat off his back. I want to feel the experience that the crowd is feeling through the music he is performing. Does that make sense?

 

 This concert exceeded all of my expectations. The Opener for this concert was a Tribe Called Quest. Well Known rap duo/ group from the 90s. Actually they were a big influence to Kanye and his music. Especially College Drop Out & Graduation. Where I'm from there are not many people who know who ATCQ is . And as much as i like to think i am musically in tuned to life I couldn't tell you any of the words to any of their songs. BUT to the New York and Brooklyn natives ( BK is where they are from) they were going crazy. I saw kids way younger than me screaming all verses . All ethnicity's.  They didn't have much of a set . A runway and a screen.  Busta Rhymes came by for a verse . And for Bonita Applebum they had a very thickilicious painted woman strut her stuff on the stage. (10 thumbs up)

 

Kanye is a very talented artist. I have loved him since through the wire. Graduation got me thru college. 808 and heartbreaks broke my heart but got me through winter which is always a dark time for me. Dark Fantasy was a great album. BUT when i got Yeezus ( i didn't even listen to it on leak before i got it { Go me})  I was initially disappointed. My friend Anna told me to keep listening to it. But after i did i only settled on maybe 3/10 songs that i liked. After attending this concert I understood why this album didn't appeal to me. { talk about that later}

Did i tell y'all this was in Brooklyn's Barkclays Center?  Beautiful arena, and right off of the subway system.

I appreciate Kanyes enthusiasm as he presented his music. I loved the set, the lights OMG THE LIGHTS, " White Jesus" { How much do you pay " White Jesus"}, the choir " naked girls, and of course the rant. ( Post to follow about that)

Now i can do without the expensive face masks. Me personally i like to look at people in the eyes. I'm a creeper so i need to see your facial expressions.

I would add a video but A i was in the nose bleeds B my iPhone was doing some ungodly things while i was in NYC. So i dint have very many videos and the ones i do have are less than 30 seconds. C i have no idea how to add videos on this blog.. { I'm a bad blogger, I'm sorry}

Nashville

    

What did I do this weekend ? I got all cozy and comfy in my bed  catching  up on ABC's Nashville . I hope y'all know what that is but if you don't please google Nashville , Connie Britton, or Hayden P.

Currently the show is about 10 episodes in  season 2. The show is about the big city of Nashville,TN . And everyone who wants to make their dreams reality on the big stage . The music industry is all who you know and whose ego you can feed. Plus some dirty scandals and love triangles. 

If you love country music  that's a plus. Great story lines especially between Rayna Jaymes and Maddie Conrad (Connie Britton & Lennon Stella). Remind me of my tween years.

Being Thankful

     

I know thanksgiving is over but over the last couple of days I have several things that I have thought about that I need to be verbal about . Since this is my blog aka my venting source here we go !

I am thankful for 

... My life, being alive, and the oxygen and blood that are running through my veins. Life is temporary and I have known that since I was a small small child . 

... I'm thankful for my family . Although I don't know / communicate or with majority of them . I'm grateful for the 2 people who raised me. 

I feel like I should have an order to this and I don't want it to.

 

... My home. A safe place to lay my head. A place to dance when I have a good feeling in my heart . A place to have friends over and a place to store my memories .

...My job, it's not very often that someone takes a chance on a loud opinionated Restaurant manager . But I am so thankfully that people believe that I can help others make a change in their life. 

...friends,  I have a lot of people who have come and gone the last year  but I really enjoy sharing my life with them. There are too many experiences that we've shared and I'm only wanting to add to them.

... I think it takes a special kind of woman to be independent . Some people take it as being bitchie, rude, or mean . But I thankful to be able to think wisely for myself and demand respect from others . And not having to use my body as a selling point. 

... Going hand and hand with my last one I'm thankful for JMN . I usually call him my other half . Some people have a problem with the phrase . But that is just what he is . We compliment each other . Rib & rib right ? And I appreciate and respect the love he gives me. I am also thankful for a man who is a good man. Because pickings are slim . I don't know many who have college degrees , who works hard , and achieves all his goals. On top of not being a scandalous male whore with kids with half of the northeast la. A man who loves his family and takes cares of them . I married a great man . And I have no idea how I became so lucky .

... I'm thankful for being able to have the financial stability to see this world. I'm thankful for all the places I have made it to and from safely.

My favorite time of year ! Great sales - weird people- holiday season !

Unfortunately retailers thought it was a great idea to turn ash Friday ( I think that's what it originally is ) to a Thanksgiving event . I really did not like the fact that workers were spending time away from their families on this day because people wanted to fight over TVs and Apple products . I hope they do not permanently change this shopping event .  Any who although I feel this way I was out shopping last night . I'm not the type to shove and push but I got some amazing deals on clothing, music, and movies.

New York- Kids

    

I have no idea where the people who are reading my blog are from .. BUT i will tell you I am from a semi small town in Northeast La. There a lot of space everyone to buy a bunch of crap and put it on their land.
Even with the heavy existence of technology there are still a descent amount of kids that are outside playing. Mothers/ Fathers are within sight of their children. You know everybody here usually knows everybody's business so they kids aren't too out of line in public.

In New York, I had no idea when school was in session or not. I would see see kids on the subways, in Central Park, restaurants, and walking down the street in the middle of the day. THAT AINT NORMAL.
A couple times i came across some kids who obviously went to school and was going home. They were all waiting on the subway. It blew my mind because they had to be no older than 11/12. When i was 11 or 12 the most i did was go to the mall, which a parent dropped me off at 1030 and was i had to be home by 1.
I cant imagine them taking the subway to school everyday. What about kidnappers? What if they are being peer pressured to skip school. I felt like these kids were such grown ups. maybe this is why they are so in dependant by the age of 15/16. They have had a little taste of adult hood. And they go wild.

It made me just want to hug a kid and take them home. Because at that age they aren't realizing they have all their lives to be adults . But you only have so long to be a kid. Stay and hold hands with your mommy some more.

Once upon a time there was an overweight girl that hit rock bottom several times. She has been apart of many diet programs, gyms, and nothing has worked for her. This is the story of AMN.

FAT
Why must you follow me everywhere i go??? I am so sick and tired of my clothes not fitting . And wearing a undershirt to smooth our my fat. I hate the way you make me tired and unsociable. I hate not being able to shop for jeans in stores because they no longer carry cute clothes in my size. Please GO AWAY!!!

FOOD
All i want to do is love you! I want to stuff my face with fries, cheeseburgers, chocolate shakes, and Reese's. But when i enjoy you the number on the scale goes up. Why cant we just be friends.

You are not a good friend. You always put me down when i need you the most.

My list could go on and on. I am a person living with Fat. This is a disease. In the last 3 years i have successfully gained 40lbs. To lose 20 and then gain it right back. I have no idea why this keeps happening to me. Apparently shelling out money does not make me want to do anything about it faster. I have tried Weight Watchers meetings and online. I have joined Anytime fitness, participated in several group classes. I have bought a treadmill and i have even used my neighborhood as a breathe of fresh air. Now i am currently in Crossfit. Anyone ever heard of that? Well its a gym box where you have a coach that makes up workouts WODs that will make you want to die in a puddle of your own sweat.

Home - Southwest Airlines

    

I would have never thought I would ever be glad to come home from a vacation . Actually this is my first time ever !

For 7 days Fat and I were in New York City. Some would call that a dream to be able to visit a place that everyone in the world knows and wants to visit. I just started thinking about it maybe about 6 months ago and decided hey why not !  

Luckily I have some friends who are world travelers so they gave me some tips on what to do there . My friend Kim told me about how cheap Southwest flights are. So I signed up for an email newsletter (omg the emails)  . When I tell you their flights are cheap I MEAN their flights are cheap ! ( raised eyebrow) just wait it out ! 

 

We flew out of New Orleans / Kenner MsY Louis Armstrong International airport ! ( why does this airport have some many names) 

Folks were like why fly out from there ?! Well although NO is 4 hours away from us they have more airlines to choose from ( trans air, southwest, united, continental etc) plus it would have been more expensive to fly out of my hometown  with the gas included to New Orleans so why not ?! 

My good friends Kayla and BDD informed me about a cheaper long term parking . Get this we were going to pay 100 to stay at the airport . ( something you gotta do) but because of them I parked at the good ole Hilton for $40 and they shuttled you kt and from the airport ! Hello bargain ! 

Easiest process in life ! Nice airport minus the lack of good food ! Come on New Orleans !!!!!!

The flight was comfortable there was direct TV via mobile deceives and laptops . Even for $8 wifi !! Internet in the skkkkkky

So I'll be talking about my trip in several parts . I just wanted to warn you guys in advance .

Astor on the Park

Astor on the Park is were we stayed for 6 glorious nights . Now as you will see  in the pictures this hotel is cute, but one of the smallest rooms I have ever stayed in. Normal rates for this hotel is $258 a night . ( psh) We paid $89 🙌🙌🙌🙌.  

We had a king size bed, TV, mini table, chair good size amour, and a bathroom. And I must not forget a window unit air conditioner . Thank God for it !! Because the heat was on in the hotel and I can not sleep in a hot room ! 

The staff was very nice ! Anytime I need to ask a question they were more than happy to answer it or go figure it out for me. The only problem was their we're no Americans . So anytime I wanted to know about a local restaurant they have me Italian or Asian  . Though I love Asian and Italian food some days I just wanted a grill cheese or a burger . 

All the reviews I read about this hotel were positive but everyone mentioned to get a room away from the elevator and a window over looking Central Park . That view was amazing.  every morning I was awoken by the sun. 

Very safe location ! No bugs ! And hot water ! The elevator is a bit creepy and old and there is only 1 for all 11 floors. AND they have old school keys instead of a fancy magnetic card.

If I could get the same rate, I would definitely come back !

Gossip Girl Series Finale

    

If you guys know me personally, you know that i love to read. I spent majority of my teenage life escaping reality in my room where words came to life. Its shaped my life. From the words I speak the clothes i wear and the dreams i own.

One day at the library i came across a series of books called Gossip Girl by Cecily Von Zeigslar. I read one and soon or later i had blown through most of the series and waiting for more to be published. At some point i stopped because other things were more important things came to my mind.

In 2006 when i was TV surfing at a friends house a commercial came  on the CW. And although i wasn't really interested with the actors and actress at the end of the commercial Gossip Girl flashed on the screen. I jumped up and screamed scaring my friend who was in the kitchen. I had no idea books came to television. I went home and read every article there was about the new show and when it was coming out .

I watched the first season online every week. ( I didn't have cable)  I bought it the first day it came out on DVD at Target . I fell in love with the real life characters that finally had a face. My imagination and the visual that connected blew my mind. I told everyone who would listen to me about how great this show was. Even comparing it to the Sex and the City ( my favorite show of all time) .

I stopped watching GG online and waited for every season to come out on DVD where i would be couped up in my bedroom watching episode after episode. 6 seasons of this show aired and i couldn't be more satisfied with how it ended. Even though it has been a year since its official end date i cant express how exciting it was for me to watch a part of teenage years come to life. And i couldn't have finished at a better time with my friend Elise and my upcoming trip to NYC.

IG & FB

It is safe to say that I am addicted to IG. I realized 2 years ago that it was not safe for me to be on FB. So I go in and out of using it. My main reasons now for using it is Crossfit and looking at previews when I get pictures made.

I am a creeper . Let me expand that ! I enjoy learning . I enjoy absorbing any and all information that surrounds me . FB & IG is not healthy for a person like me because there is so much out there. I could spend hours researching people.

I noticed there was a problem after I fought my sleep one morning just so I could look at what happened the night b4. One eye closed squinting at a bright white light . ( no  bueno )   

Also I noticed that I  am starting to seek others approval. There are a certain amount of likes I want to obtain on each picture and if I don't it makes me feel like I'm   not good enough . Who needs to feel that way from 200 ppl ? Not I !

So I have decided to take a new look on IG and FB. I will only be viewing twice a day .  I think it will be healthier for me to let there be some distance Btw me and my followers .

Sunday Naps

I successfully follow 4 bloggers. Every morning their words are the first thing that I read and frankly I am angery on Sat mornings when they do not post. ( sad huh?) Well I really do not know how they do it. Im having trouble with keeping up with the password on Blogger let alone trying to actually post on this thing. It must be said that I am NOT a successful blogger even though I really really want to be. Throughout my day I think of funny things that I want to post. But when I finally hit the bed I'm so attached to my phone until the last moment before I shut my eyes.

Graduate School dropout

    

Today at work we had a meeting with a lady that is a recruiter for Delta Community College . I went to Delta when I was a smarty pants in high school ( dual enrollment) . Then the "first" year of college. Let me tell you! That was the best decision I ever made. High school kids are not responsible why on earth would you pay all this money for your kid to skip class and party? I remember several times where it was raining outside and I did not get up to get to math class . Gilmore Girls or Sex and the City was wayyy more entertaining than Mr. Dunn talking about how to find x & y. After my time at Delta I believe I came a better student. Even tho I've always wanted to learn and be in a classroom.
Anywhooo.. the recruiter Kathy Gardener ( hit her up) told us about all the new degrees that they are offering and the start out pay of each of them. Let me tell you I was flabbergasted. When I went to Delta they didn't have all this! You basically went to Delta then transfer to the 2 local universities in my town. Several of my co workers were ready right then and there to leave work and apply. Now whether that was just talk or not i actually did it. I am paying out of the BUTT for graduate school. For a degree in Secondary Education. I just want to teach! I don't know why but it just makes more and more sense every day I think about. I don't NEED a Master's Degree. I just want it because it sounds good and I want people to think I'm smart. Basically I'm paying for compliments. (dumb) So I after I got a bunch of work done I applied. I am going to the school tomorrow to bring my application fee and my immunization records.

Social Media

    

In the last 8 years people have put a lot of power in social media. You maybe thinking power? what power? It is a big deal when you add, delete and post on social media.  WHO CARES! Why do I need to know you are going to bed, what your are wearing, or if you got new weave today?? I don't ! But it is consistently being put out there for everyone to see. I am guilty of it myself. I use to share my every waking moment on FB. Now i barely get on FB. Why? Because the people that I work with or the new friends that I have do not need to know about the crazy teenager i use to be. They don't need to know every time I go shake my ass at the bar. And they don't need to see the skimpy clothes I wear outside of work. Okay maybe they see those anyway. LOL

OH another BIG thing. Folks with insecurities keep them off social media. I cant tell you how it pisses me off to read about someones gf or bf and how wonderful they are and how their with them now instead of someone else. Don't put your pity stories on IG. Stop airing out your business. I thought when you really have something amazing you were suppose to keep it a secret. Because once its out everyone is going to want some. And there are some scandalise people in the world today. So watch what you upload and watch who you befriend. Not everyone is going to like it . Some folks are just waiting for your down fall.

Once upon a time there was a genre called R&B . There was a boy group named Immature then Later when they were teenagers and thought they were cool they abbreviated their name to IMx . IMx  separated and "the lead" Marques Houston  had a pretty promising solo career . His second album was named ( I think it was his second album) MH Naked. This was QUAILTY !!! Great music ! Somewhere between pop & life I realized that I needed to hear this again and I could NOT find it ! You can't illegally download it, you can't find it on iTunes, which tells me that he must have have some type of label problem. BUT you know where I found this album ?!?! AMAZON . Thank goodness for people like me ( or y'all!) who burned it to your computer and no longer needed it ! Whoever you are I appreciate you ! 

Anywho! Find this cd . I bought it on Amazon for $4 . You need it

We had a glorious bachelorette get together for her the night before . ( after I had to hide all the penis stuff because the pastor was coming over to finish up on counseling HA)

But let me tell you guys .. Weddings are not joke. Especially if you no longer live in the town you're getting married in. I mean whose gunna do all your crap for you? You have to trust strangers/ friends on their opinions for cater, music, hairdresser, location etc. and let me tell you I am not dependable when it comes to this stuff. I hated planning my own wedding so how the hell am I pose to be creative for someone else.. PLEASE TELL ME!

If you are a bridesmaid NEVER go on a cruise before you have to be in a dress in front of folks. And make sure you ALWAYS try on your dress when you get it! I have learned my lesson!  Not only did I go on a cruise for 5 days and ate like a PIG! I ordered a dress that I had to "get into"  Which I did pretty good! I lost 22 pounds but then gained 4 the week before. ( dumb)  That dress was so TIGHT! I thought I couldn't sit up straight! Then I had to go into the bathroom and cut the lining so my thighs could breathe. OH and the shoes ~ ~~ I couldn't bend down to tie those so I just looped them around my ankles HA! { You cant even tell in the pictures}

Minus my wardrobe malfunction the wedding was beautiful! YAYAYA for Misti and ED
