Tea Tree Mask

As a brown individual I don't do much to my face. I feel like as long as it's clean and moisturized my genes will do the rest. At age 22-24 I started getting acne. I know, Super stupid. So I started going to a dermatoglist about my eczema  and acne. She has worked wonders on my eczema. The couple scars I had on my legs as a child are completely gone.  The dry area around my mouth is now managed.

 But now I have some acne around my chin and the edges of my temple that I can't really get rid of. 

I'll admit I am not the best when it comes to taking meds as prescribed and really cleaning my face well. Judge me if you must!

So I figured I should try somethings and see what happens.

I bought this Teatree mask probably a year ago.( eye roll, I know)  

This is what happened when I applied it.

I kept the mask on for about 15 minutes and then rinsed my face. My face felt so soft. And the next day I had a couple white heads that came to surface which was wonderful.

I am going to try to do this at the minimum once a month.

Gallon water challenge

My friend ET & I did a gallon water challenge a month or so ago.  I've read a lot about all the benefits of drinking water. Better skin, helps with weight loss, and its just overall better for you.

I love water. We actually don't keep juice or soda in our household and I'm not bothered by that. When I was younger I was addicted to Diet Coke. I'm pretty sure I was downing anywhere from 5-7 in a weekday. I had a friend who's boss passed away from aspartame overload. So I kicked the habit.

We downloaded the 1 Gallon A Day app on our iPhone. This app is pretty bomb. Every hour it alerts you when you need to drink. Just make sure you enable your notifications. The sound that it makes(pouring water) , makes me giggle every time.

We were both successful in our two week challenge and it actually helped ET push passed a weight plateau. ( GET IT) As for me I really think it made a difference in clearing up my skin. (WIN)

Merry Plaguemas

AI hope everyone had a wonderful holiday with food, family , and festive festivities ☺️.  Over in the Nelson household we eat chocolate pancakes while watching the biggest loser and going to a 24 hour Heath clinic .. Life YUP ! I got a case of the loser on Christmas Eve.

And this is what it progressed to on Christmas Day . Also had to it the sores that are In my scalp.

The staff at Affinity Health ( and I do mean staff - 4 people came to look at me) aren't really sure what's wrong with me. ( just my luck) So what do doctors do when they are unsure ? YouTube !! 

Can I YouTube myself a medical degree ? I wanna wear scrubs and give false hope to folks .

Anywho I got some blood drawn, a script, and a shot in the hip. Hopefully on Monday I'll get a call and someone can tell me I'm okay . 

Personally I think it was just the seafood I had at my miL on Sunday. Unless I've picked up some 18th century SLORE disease . ( nahhhh) but the doctor did ask if I had unprotected sex 😳 . I kind of looked at her like (ever?) or in the last 6 months . If you ever want to get the conversation awkward ask someone if they have STD and if they've been playing chubby bunny with their vagina . You are sure to get a verbal reaction or a slap to the face .

My visit to Affinity was great . 24 hours a day and the co-pay is what I would normally pay at the doctors office . Fast service too. Unless my MIL pulled some strings .(🙌🙌). AMN approved

The rest of our day went as followed JMN driving around aimlessly texting and driving burning my gas. Then over to The Wise residence to talk to moma wise stuff our faces until  Jasmine decided to come home . Then off to walgreens to get pictures & medication ( post coming soon) Then to the Jackson's for more face stuffings and cutting up with Joseph . But by 10 we made it hope with 2 Guns (redbox special) .

I left something out ! Mud riding in 20 degree weather 

I should clean that mirror huh ? Oh well
