Amazing hair day

I know you guys are tired of my hair posts but TOO BAD. I have seriously been doing some amazing stuff with this bucket of curls on my head.  These pictures were  one day after a deep conditioning. I woke up the next morning like YES! Get it curls!

The Grey Chronicals

Since I decided to take a break in April/May you guys missed out on some great things that happened.
One of those things is my hair .
Almost year ago I started entertaining the idea of having gray hair . I have been graying since I was 12. I have never dyed my hair in fear of going all gray but mainly for the fun of it .
I told a couple people to get their opinion because there was no one in our city who had it.And I should have known not to take value to their opinions. But they were like who does that ? That's dumb.

Also it was kinda hard to just go for it since  I didn't have a stable hair stylist.
But luckily after the 2014 December hair catastrophe I started going to Justin's cousin, Jessica. I even mustarded up the courage to tell  her what I wanted . And she told me she could do it. She'd never done it on natural hair but she's done it on weave .
I was over the moon !

Unfortunately the color did not stick . So I had to come back to try again. But on the plus side  I got this cool Carmel to work with for  a couple weeks. Woot woot!

Naturalish...

There aren't many things that when I look back I've done and realized it was a great idea. BUT stopping getting perms, and cutting my hair off was probably the BEST things I've ever done next to graduating college .March 2014 I stopped getting perms. I  also got my hair colored and cut.  I tried to flat iron it a couple weeks. Then in May 2014 I had my own version of the "big chop." . I didn't have any fly- aways to straighten so I started washing my hair everyday. Then after a week or so after that got boring so I starting watching YouTube videos about products for natural hair. I didn't do much research because I had two friends who were already natural so I used some of their suggestions.
In Sept I got another haircut . Went in to get my ends trimmed and came out with less than half of my hair cut off. I looked like a boy. Luckily I realized that hair doesn't define me. And I kept trucking . ( It only takes me twice to learn from my mistakes)

I'm not the best naturalist. I still dye my hair. I get it straightened once a month. I only detangle it once a week. and I only co wash it once a week. I'm not a hair person. I went natural so I could stop messing with my hair  not to do more. And apparently my hair responds more to low maintenance activities.
