New Product!

Y'all know I am the queen of red lipstick. But for the summer I wanted to switch it up. I see everyone online in their pretty natural colored lipsticks and I wanted some too. So I went to Target and stocked up . 

I've been seeing ads for the the new Katy Matte on Tv and in Cosmo so I decided to try it out. Of course I couldn't leave Target without checking out the NYX aisle.

Overall I like the Katy Matte.

NYX Suede without some gloss as a base is very drying on my lips. It looks as if little velvet pieces are coming off throughout the day.

Loving myself

Despite the cellulite, the rolls and the fact that I can not see over my boobs I love me. I have never practiced self hating behavior and I thank God because I imagine how destroying that could be to your self confidence. Yes I would love to lose a lb. or a 100 and be healthy but sometimes you have to hold your head and high and say ( insert your name ) you are beautiful.

Normally I would say all of that without the makeup without the straight hair and probably with a t-shirt or a mu mu on and my hair a curly mess. And you know why? JMN loves me . unconditionally.. you jealous huh? I know I know everyone isn't lucky.

 

After the wedding I was feeling extra cute. ( it probably had to do with the 4 Uv & sprites I had before I left the wedding. And the wondering around Wal-Mart.

But here you go ....

 

Then it all came crashing down the next morning . haha
how do people do this everyday? Oh well it was nice while it lasted.

" I'm not a doll"

I went to my parents house the other day to help JMN install a dryer.
Parents: Do you have lipstick on?
AMN: yes
Parents: Oh my goodness, I cant believe it you've never worn lipstick you always told me that you weren't a doll and only dolls wore lipstick.
AMN: rolls eyes
JMN: Haha my little doll bby

You ever hear things your parents say and think "really ? was that necessary?"
I mean yes I have on lipstick and yes that does sound like something that I would say but I was rebelling HELLO! I didn't want to be this perfect pretty princess so anything that you asked me to do I wanted to do the opposite. Isn't that the purpose of being a  teenager.
I am out of my teenage years and want to be an adult and wear dresses ( which I've always loved), heels, and makeup.

If you read ( Insert I lost 15){ I haven't finished this post yet sooory} you know that as a reward I bought foundation. Along with said foundation I purchased lipstick and lipstain. Being that I am starting out and its my favorite season FALL. I chose something just dark and forbidden.

Before I went I did a little google research and a conversation with my go to make up guru, Anna .

After visiting  Target and Ulta who always has amazing sells on all their products. I came out with these.

Isn't this beautiful? Guys excuse the background but I was so excited that I just had to photograph it. There is no other way to explain this lipstick but sexy. I always compliment packaging because I happen to be one of those people who judge a book by their cover ( tsk tsk I know) but when I saw this in Target I was thinking that's real cute.
Then I took the cover off and what I'm going to refer to as the shaft is exquisite. Now the sun is shining so the shaft looks gold but its silver.

A couple months ago I thought that I would try some lipstick but I clearly had no idea what I was doing because I did not realize this NYC lipstick was a dual tone and I rubbed them both on and hated the color which is why I put the lipstick back in my jar never to be seen again until today. The colors look really nice with my skin tone.

 

Now the  NYX is my favorite.

I bought a lip liner because I assumed that is the thing to do but I realized I have very defined lips and there is no real use to this liner for the colors that I have picked.

So after such amazing success I thought that I needed to fine every variation of these deadly colors. I ran across MACs Fixed on Drama which is beautiful but EXPENSIVE.. and since I already have other addictions there's no need to start another so I will admire this stick from a far.

Did you guys know you can type into Google the name of lipsticks and find their Dupes? ( thanks ANNA)

So I am pretty excited to go on this lipstick journey. Just something else that will make me excited about Fall.
