CyCy & Mr. J

I don't believe for a second this girl is a outdoorsy. But JMN tried to teach her everything that he knew. From riding a four wheeler to removing an engine they really bonding together over everything that is outside living.

In this post particularly pressure washing. Girl had no idea that we where cleaning off the patio for her 10th birthday party but she wanted to help do it.

I have some videos somewhere or her going to town. Ill try and find them. :)

Wyndham Garden : Metarie, LA : Sept 2016

When we were in New Orleans this is where we stayed. Wyndham Garden Inn. It was a mile away from the airport. Location was awesome!

There was a balcony that over looked the pool sadly enough we didn't swim. I got the reservation from the Wyndham website. There was confusion about payment. after I booked the hotel online I saw a charge on my account but once I got to the hotel they told me it wasn't paid for.  So of course I call Chase and they tell me that Wyndham has a certain amount of days to accept the payment and they didn't. I think its a little of Chase and Wyndham's fault.  After we squared that away we were good.

The lobby of this hotel was beautiful. I have pictures of it somewhere. Hopefully i find them before this post posts.

Happy 29

My 29th Birthday was celebrated by getting my hair, nails, and toes done. I had plans to have this massive bonfire but the rain that was suppose to last 30 mins to an hour lasted 2-3 hours. So the wood was wet ( haaa wet wood) and no one wants to be wet and cold.  So JMN and I dashed to make the house look acceptable in order for folks to come to the house.   This year I asked for a Kit Kat cake. It was oh so good. I hadnt had any sweets ( minus 2 bites of wedding cake on 11.5.16) since September 20th.  Honestly the first couple bites were kinda gross.

Earlier that day Ej and I had gone to Toys R US and I picked up this cool cards on Monopoly game.  The conversation was too juicy to pay attention to how to actually play but how cool was it that I pulled the birthday card.

At 2:45 am we shut it down . Clearly the boys drank tooo much to function around 12/1ish.
Shoutout to everyone who came over amidst the change of plans.

Clevland Wedding+ New Orleans, LA

To end of our anniversary trip we drove to New Orleans for Chubbs friend Clevland's wedding. It was gorg. I wish I hadn't used snapchat to take pics of the church. It was a Catholic church which you know was beautiful.
Joe was in the wedding being ridiculous as usual.

My favorite party was the recession line / 2nd line? They almost took us through Bourbon St. but someone rerouted us to the hotel :(.
Gorg wedding, really kind people.
Congrats guys.

Cocoa Beach, FL

It was seaweed season, but it was really cool looking seaweed. I love the beach, and its  beautiful no matter what season it is.

Comfort Inn: CoCoa Beach, Fl

If you know me or if you've read my blog for some time you know that the Chubbs and I go on an anniversary trip every year. Our original plan was to drive to Miami and go see the Bad Boy concert. Miami is about a 16 hour drive from our home. I bought a hotel on Priceline because a friend was telling me how amazing their prices are.
Unfortunately we decided not to go to Miami at hour 14. We were over being in the car by that point and decided to eat the $120 that we could not get back from the Miami hotel. I hadnt bought the concert tickets yet because I assumed that as the concert got closer ( another trick from a friend) tickets would get cheaper. I was wrong. Plus there wasn't any seating for two people to sit together in the nose bleeds.
I started googling and found a Comfort Inn in Cocoa Beach, Fl. Literally a 10 min drive to Port Canaveral. They also had a shuttle that would drive you to your ship.

How cute was this place? There was also a huge pool, grills, and benches in from of each hotel room.
AND the best of all! There's a beach 500 ft away!

Growing

Many of you guys are aware we gave CyCy a Garden party birthday. If not look HERE.
Apart of the gifts for the guests were mini flower pots and jelly beans, gum, and seeds. So as you can imagine we purchased way too many seeds so we decided to plant a couple. We put them in the window seal and after about a month or so they had outgrown their pots.

Locally we have a restaurant called Slim Chickens and they have all of their desserts in mason jars. WHO THROWS AWAY MASON JARS? Not me.
So I just did a switcherroo.

Cute huh?

Part of me....

My favorite person in the world passed away on Aug 3rd.
I feel like I have slowly cried this death everyday of my adult life.

After about 6 days off from work I came back and a friend left me this amazing card. " The Lisa" she calls me. ha
" But I think, maybe there is  some validity in accepting that a part of you went with the person who passed. And a part of them stayed with you. "

Cue waterworks.
That is the most correct statement I have heard.
Also add Revelation 21:4
" And God shall wipe away all tears form their eyes;
and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow nor crying , neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are  passed away.

Oh life.

Real time.
It's now been 3 months. I've gone to see her once in her new resting place. Time has not healed anything for me. I still find myself crying or on the verge of tears multiple times a day. I haven't gone to the house to see her room or get anyone of her things.

I dream just about every night about her. 2 nights ago I had s dream of her walking into a church function and she didn't sit with us. It was like I was watching her from an audience. She came in spoke to everyone at the table and sat down figiting with her long white hair that was perfectly curled under. She had on a mint shirt with a white stripe across the middle and her favorite black going out pants.

When I close my eyes I try to listen for her voice. But I already hear it fading out of my memory.
I just really miss her. I don't understand why  she had to hurt and why she can't be here with us. I just pray that she understood we did everything we could to keep her safe.

CyCy: The Fish

This summer CyCy took swim lessons at the local YMCA.
This girl is a fish! This was her first lesson and she knocked it out of the park. She is going to be a great swimmer.
I think some parents forget how dangerous it is to not teach their children how to swim. I know a couple grown ups that being in water was terrifying for them. Like any fear you don't want that to linger too long. Because it can completely take over your life.
I'm so glad this isn't a concern for her.
Go CyCy.

Carnival Victory 2016: Dive in theater.

Oh the ship every night they play about 2 movies. The first is usually kid friendly.  We came in on this one about 30- an hour in. JMN didn't want to leave because he was into it. I think its Captain American and Iron. Don't quote me on that tho.
Anywho... You can order room service and get food and a blanket . Its really cute. Like a drive in movie.

- In love with the Cocoa!
