March 2017 + SanDestin

 We stayed in the Luau II I believe. This is a tour of Me and Laquita's rooms. It's a little confusing. When we go to the outside door you open it and it opens to two doors and a hallway book case that I used to store my shoes. Laquita took the left door and I took the right. Her door opened to room that was reminiscent to a hotel. There was a bathroom, King size bed, mini frig etc. My door led to a living room, dining room, balcony, kitchen, and bathroom. We just decided to leave our doors open in case either of us needed anything.

March 2017+ OTW to SanDestin

2017 was the start of the mini road trips. In this particular post I will talk about the road trip to Sandestin. SanDestin is a resort in Miramar Florida. From where I live it's almost 7 1/2 hours. If you're one of my friends you know that I am the first person to volunteer to go on a road trip and the first to drive.  I'm always down to travel  that's just who I am.

 In my car was EJ and Laquita.Unfortunately the beginning of our trip did not start off too well. I left my home to pick up EJ and when I arrived he was not home. I called EJ and he told me he is around the corner in 30 minutes later is when he came home. .I am very serious about time when it comes to road trips.  I like to leave early in the morning . The quicker we leave the quicker we will be having fun times. As a group we decided to leave a day early at around 12/12:30. Keep in mind I had left my baby with her Gram, I'm hungry/ excited to get on the road. So by time he got to his house I was furious.  When he got out of the car he had  Whataburger in his hand!!!!!!. I am starving but I wanted to pick up my people and together we decided on what to eat. Also Laquita's  home is 35 minutes away from Ej's home.

The trip didnt start off the greatest. After we loaded everything in the car we drove to Laquita's house in silence.  At one point I had to pull over on side of the interstate and ask him if he needed to get out.  45 minutes later we stopped  at Chik Fil a after that we didn’t stop again until Steak N Shake in Covington, LA. This has become a regular stop for me. There's a target that isn'tWill you give me a drink later too far away and a Dollar Tree. We ended up stopping at the Dollar Tree for snacks.

Once we arrivedIn Destin we checked into our hotel for the night which happens to be a hotel that beforeAnd we went to find food at Maguire's.If you haven't been to McGuires there are dollar bills everywhereThe Irish pubAnd I also brew their own beer.Had an amazing burger thereWhat you can see below. After that we went back to the hotel and chilled for the rest of the night.

It was seaweed season, but it was really cool looking seaweed. I love the beach, and its  beautiful no matter what season it is.

Comfort Inn: CoCoa Beach, Fl

If you know me or if you've read my blog for some time you know that the Chubbs and I go on an anniversary trip every year. Our original plan was to drive to Miami and go see the Bad Boy concert. Miami is about a 16 hour drive from our home. I bought a hotel on Priceline because a friend was telling me how amazing their prices are.
Unfortunately we decided not to go to Miami at hour 14. We were over being in the car by that point and decided to eat the $120 that we could not get back from the Miami hotel. I hadnt bought the concert tickets yet because I assumed that as the concert got closer ( another trick from a friend) tickets would get cheaper. I was wrong. Plus there wasn't any seating for two people to sit together in the nose bleeds.

I started googling and found a Comfort Inn in Cocoa Beach, Fl. Literally a 10 min drive to Port Canaveral. They also had a shuttle that would drive you to your ship.

How cute was this place? There was also a huge pool, grills, and benches in from of each hotel room.
AND the best of all! There's a beach 500 ft away!
