For our 2nd Anniversary JMN picked a lovely vacation to Galveston, TX. Galveston is about 6 hours away from us. We actually went to Galveston last year when we boarded the ship to Mexico. But neither of us have ever just walked around and seen what the town is about.
I drove us in while JMN took a nap from all of my singing and lane changing.
Luckily is was a nice day.
Actually as we drove through Lake Charles I texted my friend Sara Lee who had taken her family there for the weekend .
We stayed at the Comfort INN. Which was located directly across from the beach. Unfortunately a mass amount of sea weed was on the beach and funktafied the entire town.
This was one of our most chilled vacations we have ever taken. We literally did nothing for 5 days.
everyone needs a toilet shot
About a mile away from the hotel there was a pier very reminiscent of the Naval Port and the pier in Panama City.
Mrs. Christa sent us a sweet message on our anniversary.
I got a lot of reading done too.
This was outside of our hotel... All this beauty was disturb but the smell of raw fish booty.
Cruising on the strip
A vacation isn't a vacation without some shopping and you guys now I know to bargain shop!
Stopped here to see if there were any figures for EJ
Had Fat model some overalls for Chels
Then as I'm checking out at American Eagle this pops out. I'm pretty sure this is my email from Jr. high. If only I knew the password!
Visited Ralph and Laquita at Polo
After a couple hours we came home with a nice amount of shopping done
Next to Tanger there was a HUGE gas station slash mini walmart called BUC EEs
although this picture does this sandwich no justice it was good as crap AND cheap.
We swam twice a day every day. We love the water! I tried to teach JMN to float but it just wasn't trusting of the water being in his ear as he laid back.
We had our anniversary dinner at Salt grass. It was real romantic. We had a window seat looking at the water
The comfort Inn had a continental breakfast. The waffle were shaped like the state of Texas.
The we rode a 2 persons bike which was more tiresome than cute.
another message
More pool time
Kill up on aisle 2 at Kroger
The Walmart had a payphone. I haven't seen one of these since New York.
Found out that Usher was going on tour!
The last day we had Joes Crab Shack
My beverage of choice
My attempt to get Fat to smile but this is the only face he would give me.
I had to text Hannah and let her know that this hair ties still exist. Burger and Carrie Bradshaw joke
So the hotel was a little too hot for us so we had to buy a fan.
In the words of porky pig
