Seattle 2016: Cupcake Royale

I am sitting in the most amazing place I've ever been. It's 5.26 and it's 7pm. I am sitting in Cupcake Royale. I feel like this is everything I've seen on tv my entire life. There's music playing the employees are happy and they are singing aloud to the music.  I'm sitting at the window with my paperbags while I use the wifi to write this.

I had a pretty good butter cream baby cake and a short cap. You guys know I don't drink coffee.  The baristas are in a good mood . There's laughter. There's one other customer in here probably doing work and she's probably pissed because I sat right behind her. But I don't care, I needed to charge my phone.

On the patio there's two guys having an in-depth discussion about life I'm sure. 

I am in city heaven. 

This tall blonde in her old navy black khakis keeps running by the store front. come on... ( side eye) Did I mention that I'm drinking this cap out of a tiny coffee cup/ tea cup. 

Surprise Surprise

I am going to throw CyCy a surprise 10th birthday party. 

I've never "thrown " a birthday party for a kid. As a kid my family didn't celebrate birthdays but as a grown up I have become super fond of the day that others are born into the world. 

God willing our fence will be finished and we can have it in the back yard. The theme will be a garden party. I have ideas for the  cake, party favors, and some games. Stay tuned to see what magic I'm able to pull together.

Presents: Late Christmas.

A couple weeks ago my friend Bleu walked into my office with these adorable owl shot glasses. She'd just forgotten to give me my Christmas present. Regardless of not getting them at Christmas I love them ! 

Pre Summer fun

I love being outside on a nice day. I spent a lot of my childhood outside. Playing in mud , playing with the chickens, mowing yards, swinging etc. It pains me greatly when I see kids in the house all the time. Why? I know a kid who only wants to go outside when someone else is there. 😒

So one day I called up the kids and invited them over to play. We had a water gun fight, slip and slide time, and played with Southern. Sounds like everything childhood is made of huh?

BSR Cable Park

A good friend of mine told me about using Pinterest to plan my vacations. I don't know why I didn't think about it when I use Pinterest to plan every other aspect of my life. 

I came across this picture of a slide call The Royal Flush. It looked amazing. I then looked it up on YouTube. 

In the middle of no where in Waco,TX the BSR park is a small  escape from day to day life. It has skiing cables, the longest lazy river in Waco, and The Royal Flush. 

There's a DJ, you can bring four wheelers," beverages ", and just a freaking good time.  I thoroughly enjoyed it. I wished JMN and Joe would have been there because I know they would have loved it. 

CyCy's hair update

Y'all doing hair hasn't been that bad. I really feel like I should get a pat on the back. Although I am still up to my normal shenanigans with my own hair  I try my hardest to make sure CyCy's hair is washed, deep conditioned, and straightened weekly. 

I think it might actually be growing too.  

When she came to us she had a texturizer put in her hair. According to my research that loosens your natural hair pattern which makes it easier to comb your hair. In my house I don't have time for all that so I've been sticking to less heat and no extra chemicals. 

High 5 for me right ? 

Waco, TX 2016- Farm Day

In May we went to Waco Tx. The weekend we picked they happened to have their yearly farm day. The farm we visited allows people from all over be world to come visit and learn their ways of the land. Then take it back to their home. How amazing is that ? 

There was all types of stuff happening. Different vendors, face painting, crafts, animals to pet and purchase , seminars , and you could purchase food that was grown and raised on the farm. 

We all loved farm day. It's something I will never forget.
