Emoji update

I've been complaining to my friends for some time now about the lack of representation of others in the Apple emoji section .

Although I'm happy to finally be represented I still feel a little icky about other cultures not being included

Target never lets me down

A couple weeks ago Fat and I went to Target. Target is the place where I can get my cardio in, feed my face with delicious popcorn, and spend ridiculous amounts of money on things that I don't need but because I saved 5-20% on it I justify it as a win. This day was like the others, I'd already thrown in a bunch of in needed items in the buggy. We were in the back section where patio furniture is and I noticed majority of it had already been cleared out . Guys it's June, we have summer weather for at least 3/4 more months in Louisiana. I digress

For poops and giggles I asked Justin how much the wicker love seats were and non-chalantly he said 2250. I said really dude how much he repeated 2250. By the second reply I was really over the joke and needed to see for myself . And to my amazement the price tag was 22.50.  A high overwhelmed my body as I went into hulk mode picking up these love seats and throwing them on top of my buggy. That high continued until the 22.50 came across the register and as we walked through those red double doors I felt like Rocky Balboa after a championship fight. Or someone from a TJ Maxx commercial . Whichever resonates with you first .lol

Ortho Rant :April in July

In April I got my main rackets removed and glued back on . I'm really not sure why. Honesty I'm not sure why I still have braces . Are my teeth straight ? no are they getting straighter No? Did I pay a bunch of money to someone who isn't fixing my teeth. Probably. What am I going to do about that ? I have no idea .

Adult acne

With the age and the pounds comes acne . I don't know why I like to do thinking such late in life . ( braces acne grad school)

I searched out a dermatologist in 2011. I was having some darkening around the mouth And dryness . Dr. Gremillion  fixed me up right Away. She told me what kind of facial cleanser and moisturizer  I should use . And over the overs I've gone to get for my eczema, bruising, random cuts scratches etc. unfortunately I have rosacea. In addition to the small rash liking bumps I get lately I've been having these massive under the skin pimples I can't even pop. Which is annoying and frustrating.

I went to her the other day and was like FIX It! She always gets me samples and coupons ( saving coins !) . 4 prescriptions later, We shall see what my skin looks like in a month .

Cross your fingers for me!

The Texas shuffle: April 2015: Sasche

A couple posts ago I mentioned that I have 3 of my most favorite  friends live in Texas. So once a year I do what I call the Texas shuffle . Misti is in Dallas and was my first stop. Actually she is in Sasche . The only requirement I asked of her was to take me to get a daiquiri . And apparently in Texas there are no daiquiri shops . So we went to this cute restaurant where I had an amazing raspberry long island iced tea.

The next morning when I woke up Misti, her parents, and I drove around Texas looking for houses before we went to a plant nursery. I have never been to a nursery before and I was just blown away by how beautiful everything was.

 

I love how our lives are no longer about going out to a bar ( which I still love) but sometimes when you haven't seen your best friend you just want to sit cry and talk about whats really going on in life. I can always depend on Misti to be my crazy but chill BFF.

 

 

March Ortho rant

Not only did I get pop off a bracket the Clinician was pissed because the Ortho asked her to take off two more to make them more even. According to my chart I am suppose to get my braces off in April.... I don't think this is going to happen.

Texas Shuffle: BFF piercings

While I was in Austin my BFF Jill( Elise) and I went to Platinum Tattoo and Body piercing parlor. They have this super cool special on Sundays for certain piercings for $15! We had been talking for a couple weeks now about wanting to get a new piercing.

I haven't had my ears pierced since the 6th grade. For some odd reason I was allowed to have 2 extra holes. But my skin formed two keloids that I had to get surgically removed. So after that I just decided to not have anything else pierced on my ears until now. 
Shout out to Darren and his swanky attire.

ULM Baseball

Ive been asking Fat to take me to a baseball game for about 2 years now. For those who know me - yall are well aware that I do not know anything about sports. But for some reason I feel as if baseball would be something I could get into . So when my company suggested ULM Vs TECH  ( our office rivalry) I was all over it!

ULM won btw- And I got a BOGO Raising Canes meal ( WOOT)
