Ortho Rant + October 2015+The Removal

I feel like I have wasted a lot of words on my whole braces situation and honestly I am over it.
I got my braces removed Oct 2. Jan 13 would have made 3 years. My teeth in my opinion are not straight. Do I think Dr. M could have done better yes. Do I think I had unrealistic ideas of what my mouth were going to look like yes. Are my teeth horrible ? no Were they horrible before braces ? No Did my Ortho tell me to have perfect smile I would need to have jaw surgery ? Yes Did I do it? No

SO this is just the results. I have to go back NOV 3. Until then I am on retainer duty. And I hate it because it makes me sound weird. My teeth are disguising and I can not wait until I get my teeth cleaned. Happy Birthday to me. Maybe even a whitening.

Ortho Rant :April in July

In April I got my main rackets removed and glued back on . I'm really not sure why. Honesty I'm not sure why I still have braces . Are my teeth straight ? no are they getting straighter No? Did I pay a bunch of money to someone who isn't fixing my teeth. Probably. What am I going to do about that ? I have no idea .

March Ortho rant

Not only did I get pop off a bracket the Clinician was pissed because the Ortho asked her to take off two more to make them more even. According to my chart I am suppose to get my braces off in April.... I don't think this is going to happen.

Can money not buy you everything?

These are pictures from my January appointment at the Ortho . I'm still rocking my one band and according to my original paperwork I should be done in April. But dude I just don't know . I've been waiting for straight teeth all of life and when I finally get to get them I feel like I'm being messed over . Feb this year  will make it 2 years . 2 years ?! And they look like this .. But oh it gets worse. The other day I broke my bracket. I accidentally bit down on my water bottle and crack snapple pop.  I had to wait until Monday to get in to the ortho .

Then after waiting 20 minutes i walked back up to the desk and asked the receptionist if they had given the dr my chart and they were like oh no we thought we did 😒 wth were you doing  while I was brushing teeth ?

Then I got the meanest clinician that their is Lisa . She told me I could pick any color I wanted then she stole my dreams by telling me I have to get a chain again on my top teeth which means I can only have pink gray or purple. The doctor told her he wanted her to readjust the surrounding brackets and she was pissed .Apparently she had another idea of what she wanted to do besides fix my mouth . I even asked her if it was a bad thing and she was like Yeah .... With an attitude ( side eye) old hoe. 

After I was abused for 40 minutes I got back to my seat and this is the current status of my teeth

I just feel like I am back to square one . On top of that I have pain like I have never had before. My bottom teeth look like a keyboard .

Cant money buy you beautiful teeth ? I mean 4000 plus dollars should have gotten me somewhere . Right ?

94 % of the time

I went to the orthodontist Dec 7. As always I was excited thinking something new would happen. But even with less than 6 months left before I have them removed my wires were not changed ( tightened) and I didn't even get a new band. My ortho asked me if I had been wearing my band and I told him 94% of the time. He kinda made a noise and said 94% isn't 100%. ( side eye give me a reward hoe)

 

Unfortunately I had to give up the maroon chains I've been wearing for the last 3 months. I had gray purple and some other lame color to choose from. WTH. So I went with gray because I knew I had a wedding to be in and I didn't want my colorful braces to be popping out on her pictures 20 years from now.

 

I don't get to go back until Jan 20th. ( ughhh forever)  I have been slacking real bad on wearing my band too. You know how you get excited about something and then it doesn't work out the way you wanted it to so you are just OVER IT. Yeah that's how I feel right now about my braces because I still don't see the change that they really need to make and they are most definitely are not ready to come off. There is a huge gap on the side of my mouth ( not pictured) ( didn't have that joker before braces either) that isn't lined up. I don't know.... I just feel like they should look different. I digress...

 

I'm still braced up and I really cant wait to see what my teeth will look like when they are off.

Did I mention they are fully paid for? 6 months early woot woot go me..

Bands will make her dance

Guess what I got guys?
BANDS actually one band. But I have 6 weeks with this bad boy and hopefully I will be able to remember to keep it on. I go back to the Ortho the first week of December. My Ortho said that this band will help correct my alignment situation. When I received my consultation for my braces he stated that to get the best results would be to get my jaw broken to have it realigned. My jaw is very strong.  ( thanks) But after watching the surgery on YouTube ( which was awesome) I decided that I really did not have the time to recover from that. Also I've never had a major surgery and it seems kind of petty to have that done. I'm paying off my braces 6 months early ( woot woot) and I hope it get them off in April.

A lot of my friends have been telling me that bands come at the end of the braces process. To me my teeth still aren't the straightest. When I go get my teeth cleaned in January I am going to ask my dentist what he thinks about me getting a second opinion from another orthodontist . I have paid a lot of money for these suckers so when they are removed I want my teeth to be GOREGOUS. Also I plan on getting my teeth whitened and shaved .

Adult Braces :UPDATE 1.8.14

This was the first collage I ever made when I  got braces about a year ago.  I never thought I had bad teeth. I was never the girl that shied away from smiling. My smile was one of my best qualities. UNTIL now .. I have gone a little over a year with just my top braces and a plastic tubing that has covered a baby tooth that must be removed and the permanent tooth that's behind it bracketed and moved forward.
Finally after my dentist, Dr. Roberson, pushed my Ortho to get my wisdom teeth and most recently that baby tooth removed I have FINALLY got my bottom braces. I realize that my bottom teeth are horrific. And I am kind of ashamed that I've gone 20 so odd years displaying these for the world to see.

I have another appointment scheduled on 1.21.14 to get the wires put back on my top row. Lets hope I can get that back in sooner so I don't look like someone who cant pay for their braces.

I'm not going to show y'all the pictures without my tooth. it makes me look like a country bumpkin.
