I think this is from the first time JMN & I went to visit Jasmine in New Orleans. 

Day 10950 Weekend Celebration

In August I messaged some of my bestest friends and asked if they would like to do something for my 30th birthday. Initially I wanted to go to a state park somewhere and camp. We looked all over LA& TX at state parks air bnbs and just couldnt find anything that wasnt super expensive or super far away, since none of my friends live in the same city. NONE OF THEM. Anywho We were going to settle on a cabin at Darbonne State park when I decided to look at Air bnb one more time. Then I found this amazing house . Click here to see the house.

All i wanted to do is hang out with my friends. Eat, drink, and watch movies. Thats its . Simple and fun weekend. I made everyone shirts and wrote them a card about hoe much a appreciate each one of them and why.

Since everyone lives in different places everyone came in at different times. Creep came first, she lives in Austin so she came the night before and spent the night with her mammaw who I share a birthday with :) So I met her at  Mommaws house and we went headed to the celebration. Once we got there we met with the owner who showed us around and gave us some tips for the town. We went to Walmart to grab food and back to the house to chill until JMN came to get Cucs . Creep made spaghetti with turkey sausage and garlice bread.  DELICIOUS.
 The next person to get there was Misti who was coming from Dallas. She immediatley wanted to cook for tomorrow. She stayed for a couple hours then went to her grandparents for the night. Then Laquita came ! I share a birthday with her mom so i wasnt sure when exactly she was coming, but I was excited when I opened the door. Last but not least the late night commutor Mindy came. She is actually in a wedding the day of my birthday.
Unfortunately Jasmine couldnt make it due to a death in the family.

That night we watched Columbiana, Creep made a fire !!!! and we ate chocolate chip pecan pie.
It was literally the best night I've had in months.

The Great Xscape Tour+ December 2017+ Bossier City, LA

For a graudation present to myself  JMN & I went to see the Great Xscape Tour. Ogrinally I was going to this concert with my friend and her friends but I did not act quickly as I needed to for all of us to sit together. Im working on not always being the person to say yes or get things done.

THIS SHOW WAS MORE THAN I COULD ASK FOR.
I knew Tamar Braxton was on the tour but I wasnt sure if she was on every date. But little did I know, there was June's Diary, Zonnique, MONICA, Tamar and Xscape. I dont think you know the type of excitement I had. Truth be told I have never listened to anything from June's Diary but I do know they exist in this world. I have listened to a couple of things from Zonnique but watching her perform made me want to listen to more.

I have never seen Tamar in concert and her voice is SOOOOOOOO Powerful! She is so entertaining. I saw Monica a couple years ago in BR. SHE IS AMAZING.

XSCAPE was the greatest performance Ive seen in a years! Their set took me back to a little kid sining in my gma living room. I love it. I  wish they would have performed more of their songs but hey 50 mins is alot for REAL singers. I am just grateful to be in the arena with shuch talent.

I DID IT!................

Finally.

Decemeber 9th 2017 I walked across that stage with a sense of pride and excitement!

The months leading up to it I just had so many plans for what this date would look like. I wanted to celebrate and scream it from the top of my lungs but that feeling quickly disapated. But nonetheless it is done!

Thank you for everyone who watched me on their TV's and braved the horrible traffic to get a seat to watch me. I TRUELY appreciate each and everyone one of yall . <3

Fiesta Fiesta Happy 5 years to us + Sept 2017

Just because I did'nt post about it doesnt mean it didnt happen. PROMISE

In true fun event time I didnt capture our party is the best light. I forgot to take pictures and literally did it in the last moments of the party. ( my bad)

I should have started this post with a shoutout to my team. I always think I can do anything/ everything. But its because of my friends. 

Shoutouts are as follows:

Jasmine: Thank you for showing me how to make jello shots and suggesting rum instead of vodak. THEY WERE A HIT. Actually Im not sure if that was your suggestion or Pinterest, but thank you for making that happen.

Haylee: Thank you for picking up a marker and making us a pretty sign that is still to this day on our shed because we are too lazy to take it down. :) nice cactus.

ET: Thank you for making SALSA and whatever else you picked up once you arrived.

Laquita: my right hand woman, you do so much for me / with me. Thank you for being there and making things work.

JMN: thank you for asking me to be your girlfriend and then asking me to be your wife without you NONE of this would have ever happened.

Gma: thanks for sneaking jello shots and having things for us to laugh at.

Smith: Your enchilidas were BOMB

Bria: my new friend. You are silly thank you for helping us setup. 

Literally since I got married I started talking about our 5 year wedding anniversary. I wanted to do all these rediculous things because 5 years married to anyone is BIG. I really wanted to renew our vows and all this other stuff but you know just cleaning your backyard, adding tables, adding  food, DRINKS, friends and family  is all you need to celebrate.

We had so much fun that we went to 2 different bars afterwards and let me tell you my friends are HILARIOUS. Most importantly I got JMN to a BAR. I should def be congratulated for that.

How many people know who I quoted in my title? Hip Hop Pop quiz. 

So when I got to MX I exchanged $40 for $740 MX pesos. I think that's correct. And though we went to an all inclusive resort, that money went quick! Here's what some of the money looks like.

Austin, TX+ Oasis+ April 2016

If you are going to travel you should def look on Pinterest for some attractions. Elise and I went to the Oasis in 2016. When I tell you I felt like I was in another country! I mean the view was breathetaking. We sat facing the water in a kinda balcony/ indoor/ outdoor area. The food was good and everything was well priced. The problem was it was a little hot. They had photographers come around and take your picture that you could purchase( for a fee of course). Check out these amazing pictures.
