Breaux Bridge: April 2015

I work for a small company. There are maybe 45 people in the entire building on a good day. We are relatively around the same age. So majority of us are going through the same things. Marriage, buying homes, having babies, graduating grad school ETC. Our good friend Sarah Elizabeth was getting married on April 11th and literally half of our office drove down to Breaux Bridge to be apart of this amazing celebration.
In " my group" there was myself my friend Mindy ( who doesn't work with us but she's like an adjunct employee) Chels , and ET. Then trailing us was Brady and his wife Haylee.
We checked into our hotel ( which was surprising nice which was a shock because it was sooooo CHEAP) and we met some of the others at the mall to kill some time.
Now there is always some drama when you have this many women trying to take the reigns . Luckily my group was very laid back and really just wanted to hang out with one another .
After fighting about where we were going to eat at and whether or not we had time to go back to the hotel to change clothes ( eye roll) we ended up going to the hotel changing clothes and making it to the restaurant at the same time as everyone else.

We ate at Prejeans. Fancy food that I don't eat. ( fat picky adult) So I ended up eating a kids hamburger, drinking a bloody Mary and making friends with the local reptiles and crustaceans. After which I was feeling good and was looking to embarrass myself around the town, I mean no one knows me why not?

Some how we convinced 2 pregnant women, a married man, and some prudes to go to the bar. We went to Marty's which was a pretty hopping for 10 at night. After buying some drinks and me an Mindy dancing on a few people it was time to go. ( DOUBLE SAD FACE)
Also the manager of the bar gave one of the girls a gift certificate because she's never been to the bar. HOW nice!  but she had already left.( side eye)

While I managed to run up a $55 bar time in the matter of an hour( or maybe it felt like an hour)  I was not intoxicated . When we were otw home we ran into a drug user at a red light who asked us where he could get some weed or crack ( I cant remember) of course we told him we weren't from here and that he shouldn't do drugs because its bad for your health. Southern Louisiana's red lights are forever long. After this conversation ET managed to be generous enough to throw a Canbury egg from the back seat of my car to the front seat of his while the car was moving... That's some serious skill.
Add some car seat dancing and we can call this a successful night with the four of us.
