Trying to make a cute room...

After we cleaned out the room we next had to get it decorated. I've been looking on Pinterest for cute room decorations and i believe my intentions are good but for some reason my follow through isn't the best. ( WHY is this?) 

Check out this amazing gold spray paint. Having a chalkboard wall has been a dream of mine for a while. surprisingly Target had 1 qt left in store for 14.99. I am pretty experienced with painting and I knew this would take me 30- an hour max. WRONG. I used every bit of this qt of paint and it took me 5 hours. This is what happens when you paint on the whim and you have to go buy cheap supplies because you have no idea where your normal and trusty tools are. Also as you can see in the pictures i could not find my tape to tape the walls and i made such a mess. its borderline embarrassing. 

It's really been on my heart to get this done because we literally have no idea when we will get a kid. Last we heard from our home development worker she said we could possibly get a kid before Christmas. ( Its actually Christmas day and we have no kid)  But I've been praying for a child that would best fit our family so if we have to wait for that kid waiting is what we will do.

GO READ THIS BOOK! AND THEN WATCH THE MOVIE
I loved this book. And the movie trailer is so good that it will make you want to sit there for 2 hours and watch all the drama that unfolds. { NSFW&C}

There are some messed up people in this world and this book basically unveils the mind someone crazy. Never under estimate the motives of a women and although the things the main character did in this book is over the top it is all because ( spoiler)  her husband could not keep his dick in his pants.  I don't even want to tell you anything else.

MY BIRTHDAY/ Potluck

My 28th birthday was on Nov 18th and we had our annual Thanksgiving potluck at work. I am pretty sure it was the first time since I was 21 that I actually went to work. And the only reason I went to work today was because it was our Thanksgiving potluck. So I thought I could come in for at least half a day.

When I got to work I had some amazing door décor thanks to Courtney . And throughout the day some presents found their way to my desk too. I just love birthday presents. But most importantly there were cards !!

Google even wished me a happy birthday. I didn't know me and google were friends like that lol.

 

All and all my birthday at work was pretty good. I was so full from the apps ( not picture) that I only ate the cheese grits and broccoli on this plate.

Also let me tell you about this amazing scarf that you see pictured. Do you see that cute girl with the reindeer sweater on? That's ET. she came in the office with this gorgeous scarf on that I decided to lift from her neck to drape across mine.

The best present ever!

My birthday was on Nov 18.
Since Elise lives 50 million miles away she always sends me my birthday presents and it really is my favorite thing ever.

Crest 3d White

After I got my braces off my first mission was getting my teeth cleaned and white. But I couldn't get an appointment in before my birthday so I decided to try Crest 3D White. I did this  4/5 days morning and night and I really think it made a difference.

There was a two step process. Very simple and plenty of product. Not outrageously expensive either. The instructions were very clear. { Brush with number 1 do not rinse brush will number 2 then rinse}

If you are thinking about whitening your teeth you should give Crest 3D a try

Surprise birthday party

Today is one of my dear friends Amanda Burchart 28th birthday ! Happy Birthday, gf ( insert winky emoji)

In celebration of her birthday which is exactly a month from mine let me tell you about my surprise birthday celebration.

JMN is never allowed to know about any surprise that y'all have for me. just remember that. My friends Brady & Haylee  were having a baby celebration for their daughter Evie ( which now has been born) on Nov 14. It had been planned for some time and everyone one from work was going to be there. But little did I know, the party was turned into a Birthday Celebration for me.

 For some odd reason I thought the party was starting at 2 and I would leave around 6/7 to go crafting with Cathy & Amy. So when I found out through Slack that the party was happening at 5:30 I told them I would only be there for an hour because I made plans. Long story short JMN told me that I needed to go to the party because they were doing something for me. I looked at him like he was crazy because why on earth would they throw a party for me? uhm.. But everyone was blowing up my phone like Alisa you are the life of the party how could you not come?! My thoughts were WTH what happened in my life that I am the life of a baby shower. That's depressing.

Long story short I ruined the party and the almost gave Haylee and Brady a heart attack by saying I wasn't coming . I also showed up an hour early. SORRY GUYS

How cool was this tho?

I got presents and cake!
