Navarre Beach - the picture post you've been waiting for

Every year JMN and I go to the beach. Lets face it the beach is so much better when you go with friends. Usually JMN bff comes with us because they are attached at the hip I'm cheap and I don't want to worry with JMN all day long. This year the trip was very friend studded. Joe- Min- her Bf- the bby- Krusti and her gf. What seemed like a very long and frustrating situation we agreed to disagree.
Krusti and her gf were going to be able to stay for a week. And we were only going to be able to stay for a 4 days. I was tired of going to Gulf Shores and wanted to go somewhere else. So I got on the several rental websites and found this amazing condo. 3BR 3 Bath with washer/dryer and a wrap around balcony. I ended finding a condo next condo over for Kristi. We were spilt up but it think it ended up better this way.

Navarre was about 8 hours away from us but it was TOTTALLY WORTH IT! About a week before we left JMN realized his store wouldn't be covered so he wasn't able to go. Then Mindy and her BF broke up. So Mindy invited her BFF Becca.

8 hours  and some change plus 2 bathroom stops. ( I hate bathroom stops) But we had a baby do I had to be okay with it.)

We arrived

 We were not allowed to officially check in until 3 . But Kristi was gracious enough to feed us and let us change into our bathing suits so we could soak up the sun.

Gorgeous huh? The day before it actually rained and when it did it brought in a bunch of seaweed. Can you see that dark layer?

 Baby G was in love with Joe during our entire trip. She is such a sweet baby.

 Becca ( crafty as hell) made us bottles and got us all a float. HOW SWEET!

 The only time we actually got in the pool.

The pier - we did not make enough time to get on this.

This was one of the very few times Baby G actually allowed us to take her in the water. Her MEME told her there were sharks in the water and that poor baby was afraid.

After the first day the seaweed went away and the water was just beautiful. Minus the jelly fish on the second day.

Then all the fun came to an end.

We had an amazing time shopping, drinking, swimming, talking, GAMES, and bonding

Disney World 2014

Lucky me was chosen to go to Disney World with my niece Madison to her 5th grade Beta club field trip. 5 days in Disney city ( as I would like to call it ) . We have been talking about thus trip for months. I was very excited that she  picked me to go with her . Her mother had a baby that has unfortunately had several medical problems and needs to be with her mother or a professional at all times. ANYWHO.
On May 3 ( yes it has taken me forever to blog about this so don't judge)
So we drove to Jackson MS and hopped on  Southwest Airlines to head to Orlando FL "where the magic happens".
Has anyone ever been to the Orlando Airport? I've been to Disney 2/3 times and this is the first time I've flown and the Orlando Airport is BANGING. ( but Atlanta is still my fave).
So we had a bit of drama. And when I say a bit I mean ALOT. So My niece and I were sharing a room with another Beta Club member ( I think there were 11 -18 kids in all) . The parent and that kid missed the plan. AND our transportation ticket- returning flight ticket- hotel reservations and confirmation- magic bands were with them because they had the name of the primary holder.
So not only are we having to beg and plead to actually get to Disney I am pissed about a stranger I don't even know and who I am going to have to share a hotel room with for the next 4 days. ( side eye) Apparently none of the parents were fond of said woman because they all had nasty things to say)  I received a lot of emotional support from the parents who were so glad they were not going thru the mess we were involved in. 

We stayed at the All Sports resort. LET ME TELL YOU.. how amazing this thing was. So there were prob 3 pools and each sports resort was shaped as a sport. We were in football so there was a legit HUGGGE football yard/ court... with a goal and the entrance was a helmet. Which really made me want to retreat to my elementary years when I was brave as balls and climbed to the middle of the monkey bars to hang and jump off. But due to no longer having balls and being a bit over weight- loving life- and being a chaperon I decided not to do it.
The room itself was like a normal room .. more of the side of a cheap hotel - there was a TV, table . 2 double beds, sink etc and bathroom.  nothing exciting.

We had about 2 1/2 hours until Magic Kingdom closed.. Its the park that stays open the latest. But of course we had some problems with getting into our room and then we needed to figure out how to get our bands working. After that we had to take the bus to Magic Kingdom (omg so far away) . After getting there we had trouble getting into the park. To make things worse I am with an 11 year old who wanted to hang out with a specific person instead of the group of people she knows and was patiently waiting on us because we were stuck with a case of LOSER.  Magic Kingdom is the best and biggest park. Everyday we ended up making our way over there.

Now I know you are really just wanting to see all of the amazing pictures we took but let me tell you why I am so wordy and why I cant really do that. So I brought my Sony Cyber shot that JMN bought for me 10 years ago for Valentines Day. because there was no way I was going to mess up my Nikon. of course I had my iPhone so I would supplement with that just in case the quality wasn't good enough on either end. Because you know what sucks a battery down on an iPhone. SNAPPING PHOTOS. And you know what you need when you are on a trip to Disney with a bunch of people you don't know ? An IPHONE. And let me tell you Disney does not give to flying insert expletives here saucers if you don't have a battery but they did not have many outlets at the park!
After we home I procrastinated to sync my phone to my computer and after about 2 weeks of being home I dropped by phone ( which was already cracked) it stopped sliding so I had to buy a new phone because financially it was a better decision .

Highlights of Disney
1. Parades
2. Fireworks in Magic Kingdom _ it really made me feel like I was 5 years old and dreams came true. I might have even sheded a tear during the show because it was so moving.
3. Roller coasters - Tower of terror- anything with water because it was BALLS hot- Test Trac- and anything fast and almost neck breaking that we  could get a fast pass for. We actually only stood in one line ( for 2 hours indoors) for 15 minutes of nothingness. ( wide eye emoji) that was at Epcot.
4. Spending time with my niece when we were not arguing about be acting as her parent. Like I'm stupid enough to let her run off with people I don't know without me . GUH PLEASE.
5. The 2 nights I slept in a bed by myself.
6. Keeping up with a group of 10-11 year olds without running out of breath .
7. Meeting Pocahontas
8. Muppets
9. Meeting a group of random mothers who gave us 40 bottles of water and Gatorade. yall water isn't cheap and what the heck am I going to do with a cup of water? Have you met me?
10. Not having to pay of anything the entire trip.
11. Making a friend!
12. Drinking in Mexico on Cinco De Mayo.
13. Feeling like kid.
14. Meeting these kids my niece talks about all the time.
15. Bonding with a kid.

Proof ...

This proof that I do not make up the drama that happens to me... ALSO proof I am not the person I use to be a couple of short months ago. I really wish I could savage every friendship I was in but as I get older I realize that it isn't all rainbows and sunshine. And randomly people stop picking up the phone when you call for no reason.

 

Now tell me this? If you haven't heard from a good friend of yours in a month aren't you going to pick up the phone call, txt, IG or send SOS to make sure they are okay?

Yeah? Me too!

I imagine female friend rejection/ neglect is just as bad as male sexual rejection ( ha.. not that I am aware of such rejection)

 

Adult Braces Month 19

Wohoo can you believe it ? I've had braces for 19 months. This morning at 2 am when I was up for no ungodly reason I counted . You can look back at my very first post about getting braces HERE.

Today I FINaLLY got my hiding tooth connected into the wire. I've had the dang bracket on that tooth since at least March . ( side eye)

Now I am still skeptical about how in the next 6/7 months my teeth are going to make this miraculous transformation to straightness. I mean if you look close enough you can see my 2 front teeth doing the tango at the bottom and they didn't dance until about 2 months ago and I am not feeling it.

I kept it real preppy today with my colors. This is the third time I've had burgundy (Maroon) 

I don't go back until Oct 7 so let's see what will happen in 6 weeks.

I feel like this has been a really sloooow process and I believe its my Ortho to blame.

My pre existing condition

Hello my name is Alisa 

And I am a Asthmatic  .

This is me at one of the local clinics getting my breathing treatment after a night of being expose to extreme cold and dust . Yes cleaning makes me not be able to breathe . Okay let me take it down a notch ... Dust is my enemy .

Luckily my mother in law works at this clinic and allowed me to skip about 20 people waiting in the lobby. 

I have clinic VIP status. 

And guess what ?! 

I got to skip the dreaded scale of doom.

I went straight to the room and got my vitals checked . Then a spunky PRN came in to listen to my pathetic lungs .

Which then she decided to inform me I needed to visit my primary so he can find me a better prescription so these random attacks don't happen .

After that a male nurse came in to give me 2 shots ( and I'm not talking about tequila ) 

And now I have to wait until I suck up all of this albuterol in the treatment before I can head to church. 

Thank God for PrNS LPn RN technology and medication. 

We are too old for this

When dinner leads to impromptu to swimming, ear piercing, and visiting 3 clubs in a night. YUP I am way too old for this . After hitting all of our favorite usually banging spots we ended up at a bar called Scruffs. My poor friend C was hit on by a college student who drug her from our table of creeping out on the dance floor to shake her behind on. HILARIOUS.

Sunday Social Week 28

Wake up Wake up!! Its 9 am time to catch up with me and the Sunday Social

 

1. Tell us about the family you grew up in, parents, siblings, grandparents.
 Well I am the youngest of 3 children. I have/ had an older brother Nicholas who lived in Washington DC . I do not remember him when I was a child. He probably left LA when I was 1/2. He passed away when I was in the 8th grade. He suffered from seizures all his life. He passed away at the age of 29. I have another older brother Richard. He is 10 years older than me. We have the same father. He moved to Seattle Washington when I was in 6th grade.
My grandfather the little that I remember for him was an amazing grandfather. He reminded me of what Santa Claus would look like if Santa was real. But he passed away with when I was in the 7th grade. Actually he was in prison from when I was about 4 until he passed away from cancer when I was 13.
^^^ semi depressing huh? So the rest of my family consists of  my mother and grandparents and we really don't have time to get into that.

2. Tell us about your husband, fiance, boyfriend, significant other.
My husband JMN or Fats is what you will affectionately hear me call him. He is great ( some days lol). We actually went to high school together and the first time I ever remember that he existed was my somo year of high school when I was taking my ACT. He sat behind me . A Nelson J Nelson . Then we had mutual friends and we started working together at Sonic the summer of my senior year.
He is the definition of a country boy and a mans man. He is very hardworking and plays just as much as he works.

5. Tell us about any other special people in your life.
I have a couple friends that are amazing. And I am very lucky to have them in my life.

When adults hangout ....

I don't have much of a social life. With that being said when i get to hangout with my friends and we actually leave the house I usually have to document it. Sadly enough i cant even take credit for arranging the epic night we had. AND everyone i hung out with lives in town but ONE.

E or as i affectionately call Creep now lives in Austin, TX and she doesn't love us enough to come here to  visit often.  Actually Austin is like 8 hours away and who in their right mind would come here just for friends. So E got all of us together to go out to dinner.

We had dinner at River and Rail. We got to sit outside and it was the perfect night. We basically ate queso and drank margaritas and reminisced on when we use to all work together and go out every weekend, drink and somehow pay our bills and survived.

 ( Thank Goodness for our clueless parents who supported us)
