Austin, TX: Alamo Sing along

My first night back  in Austin Creep took me to this awesome movie theater where we could eat food,   dance, and sing along to the screen of our favorite 90s music.  2 hours just wasn't enough. I really could have sat there for another 2 hours and probably wouldn't have even noticed it.
Our host was amazing. She was dressed up like a Spice Girl down to the platform shoes.

When we walked in they gave us a a balloon, braided clip , a flash light, and blow up microphone. We ordered a pitcher of Sangria and a cookie plate. This experience was soon much fun! To top it off they are having a Kanye West night. Unfortunately Austin is just too far for me to travel at a drop of a dime.

If you are near an Alamo theater check it out !

10 things you might not know about me.

I saw this theme on Chia's Blog, y'all should check her out she's awesome. So I decided to participate.

1. I'm the youngest of 3 kids on my mothers side. I have two older brothers. Nicholas or Nick as I called him passed away when he was around 29-30. I was in the 9th grade. And Richard who I call Pighead is 37.

2. If I could I would remodel homes in poor areas. This is my ultimate life career dream.

3. I love the country life.  I want to build a house and live on a farm. Chickens everywhere!

4. Mascara and Lipstick is my absolute favorites. I prefer red lipstick. Rimmel and Loreal are my favorite brands.

5. I wear a size 12w in shoes. So as you can imagine finding shoes is a struggle. When I was a kid my grandmother use to tell me all the time that running outside barefoot was going to make it hard for me to find shoes. Sure enough thats what happened. Thank God for Payless.

6. I'm lacking 10 states from visiting every state in the United States.

7. Baby pink was a favorite color growing up.

8. Seattle Washington is like my second home.  Since age 7, I've gone there twice a year until age 21.

9. I have two official God children. Aniya Carlee & Christian Amarion and they are less than a month apart.

10. I've known that I was going to foster/adopt since age 10.

Shonda Rhimes

I was so inspired by Shonda's 2014's Dartmouth's Commencement speech. Shonda inserted her speech into the audio version of  her book Year of Yes, I wanted to share it with all of my creepers. I hope y'all enjoy it. Let me know what you think.

Twisted Root: Waco, TX: April 2016

When I was in Waco Jasmine took us to this restaurant called Twisted Root. I love it. Inside there's high tables, couches, the bar is in the middle of the room , and there's screens everywhere. It looks to me like a warehouse that was converted into this cool eating space.

The food was great! I got the Ranch Hand ( mmmh Peppercorn ) and a Peanut butter shake.
Instead of numbers or buzzers they have tv shows, artists, or actresses as your " call number" to let you know your food is ready.

Great atmosphere !

Seattle: The small things

I took the train 4 days while I was in Seattle and when I saw this man playing I felt like I had officially been casted in a movie.
How beautiful is this?
Unfortunately I didnt have cash to give him ( I never have cash) I enjoyed this 20 seconds of talent immensely .

Seattle: Target

As soon as I got to Seattle I dragged by brother to Target. He took me to the Target in Renton Landing.  It was pretty nice and reminded me of my home Target.
The next day I went to the Target downtown, that one of my brothers " friends" suggested. To my surprise it reminded me of the Target in Metarie, LA. But BETTER of course.
This Target had 3 floors and the set up was completely different. Also since it's in the city they have cute little paper bags, but you have to pay .10 for them ( side eye)

Seattle Dicks

Y'all are so nasty.
Dick's is a burger place in downtown Seattle. Everyone I asked ,where I had to go in Seattle, they told me Dick's. As you can see in the pictures it's a walk up burger stand with this huge glass. Makes me think of the glass between you and a prisoner . I've been watching too much Orange is the New Black ( season 4 )
Prices are cheap! But I wasn't a fan of the burger. I also got a chocolate shake which I could have done without as well. There's no drive thru so you either eat at the stand or take it to your car.
You might have a different opinion so try it out for yourself!

Seattle : Gum Wall

I knew my affinity for gum would connect me to something cool. And of course I found it in Seattle. I actually went twice. Once by myself those are the second pictures and again with my friends who haven't gone. They freaking live in Seattle ( eye roll). My trident is above the H in Jonah.

Omarion, August Alsina , & Chris Brown + New Orleans, LA+ Feb 12, 2016

Apart of our Valentines weekend in New Orleans we went to see Chris Brown on his One Hell of A Night Tour. Yes, I am a lover of CB. And I was quite excited about seeing him in concert along with Omarion, and August Alsina.
I was semi disappointed starting with Omarion performance. Omarion was having mic problems throughout his show. He tried his hardest to get through it but his team was really struggling.  I felt like he was only on stage where we could actually hear him for 10 mins.

When August Alsina came out everyone went CRAZY. This was my 2nd time seeing him and I feel like to say New Orleans is his home he didn't like " bring it home."

From the pictures I've seen on IG I thought CB actually had a stage set. Turns out he didn't. But that man can move. The best part of his performance was his dancing. I was disappointed because I felt like the data track was singing more than he was. But hey maybe when you dance like that you have to make sacrifices

In between August and Chris there  was a bomb  DJ. I was def dancing in my seat. I would have to day the best part of this concert was an older woman in her 50s who was twerking on a stranger sitting next to her.  You gotta love New Orleans. .

The reason

When I run across things like this it makes me not feel so alone. I need to meet these people who share in my addictions!
